decorating

Thomas and his love for all things Christmas (food, decor, etc) could not be held back any longer. Our apartment is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Below is the new creche we bought this year. We've started a little tradition of getting one every year. This years is made out of a gourd and the figures are made from banana leaves.

We also tested out the self timer on the camera. Worked pretty well for a shot of the two of us by our tree. (In the background is a picture of Hastings College at Christmas time with the giant Christmas tree that TK helped make happen and proposed to me in front of.)
Thomas is out decorating our porch right now. Our complex has a contest for the best decorated porch and we all know TK is always up for some Christmas decorating.

That went well

Last weekend I attempted a new system and it worked pretty well. I cooked all of our weeknight meals on Saturday. Usually when I get home from work cooking seems a bit much but I found that having meals in the freezer worked quite well, we'll have to see if I can get a menu together to attempt again this week. Here are a few of the goodies we had this week:

Banana Bread from this site
Italian Wedding Soup (lentil and sausage)
Turkey Chili
Sour Cream Enchiladas (one of TK's favorites).
